Hello! I am Guadalupe “Lupita” Ramirez. I am a Bay Area native and Mexican-America. I can truly say that I value the work in the early childhood education field and understand the importance of providing quality and efficient care and education to young learners! My experience with child care began with the birth of my first nephew which was over 10 years ago. Caring for my nephew allowed me to understand the importance of child development and how adults and caregivers provide a vital service in helping children meet their needs and wants. In addition to caring for my nephew, my mother has operated her own in-home daycare since 2012 which has allowed me to further my understanding and knowledge of how to care and nurture children and their development.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Chicana Studies with a minor in Sociology from UC Davis in 2018. In 2022 I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Walden University while working as a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist in Las Vegas, Nevada. During my time in Las Vegas, I worked with children, adolescents and adults helping them learn coping skills, grounding techniques, as well as teaching them effective communication skills, boundary setting while building their confidence. When I returned to the Bay Area, I enrolled in Child Development courses to further my understanding and education in Early Childhood Education. As I work towards my goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am very confident in running my own preschool as I believe my background, tools, and skills have prepared me to work with young learners and help meet their needs and wants and promote their developmental domains: cognitive, social-emotional, physical, linguistics, and spiritual.
Working with children and adolescents throughout my life I have come to understand the importance of early childhood education and how vital it is to children as they progress through their lifespan. As a future early childhood educator, my job is to provide children and their families support, respect, guidance based on developmental stages and provide necessary community resources for mental and physical health. My hopes and dreams are to be the best person I can be for the better and good for my community and my people and to be able to provide new insight on mental health awareness, the importance of early childhood education and development to new parents and families.

Hello, I'm Joel Escamilla, born in the vibrant state of Oaxaca, Mexico. As an immigrant, adapting to a new country and learning a foreign language posed challenges, but this experience helped me see the value of bilingualism. I firmly believe that children hold the key to our collective success, and it is our responsibility to nurture their growth and help them reach their full potential. Guided by the belief that "The children are our future," I am committed to shaping the next generation.
My professional journey has been diverse, allowing me to work with individuals in different life stages. I started in social work, directly assisting families in meeting their most fundamental needs. This experience provided a solid foundation for understanding the challenges faced by children and their families. Additionally, I had the opportunity to empower young adolescents through Basic Skills Training (BST), equipping them with essential tools for personal and academic growth.
In recent years, I have embarked on a new chapter in early childhood education. Through this on-going education and personal experiences I understand the power of nurturing young minds and I have gained a deep understanding of the needs of children. Alongside pursuing my own education in Early Childhood Education, I have worked in childcare, where I witnessed the immeasurable value of formal education in this field. As a preschool teacher, I embrace the philosophy that children naturally grow and develop through play. I am intrigued by a child’s curiosity of the world and my aim is to treat every interaction as an opportunity for learning and strive to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary educational experiences. I understand that no two children are the same and I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for each child, meeting them at their unique stage of development.
As I continue my journey in Early Childhood Education, my purpose is to make a positive impact on the lives of countless children and their families. Through empathy and compassion, I aim to inspire the next generation to become their best selves, fostering a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
